Centipede Project

Level 3 - Advancing
The Centipede Project started in 2012, with a vision to bring the community of North Edinburgh together through engaging, creative events. Following a series of community consultations driven by the Old Kirk and Muirhouse church, the project achieved a main grant from the Church of Scotland’s Go For It fund. The group has been working closely with the local community since then, creating temporary garden space, growing projects, play areas, and environmental art installations. It is currently developing a more permanent edible and wildlife garden in the Old Kirk and Muirhouse church with local children and adults.
