Attic Community Garden

Attic Community Garden is a working resource in a council estate, where local volunteers can be involved to develop the garden for the community, but also to build their social, physical, mental and gardening skills. The group has worked hard to transform what was once a complete eyesore into a beautiful green space, for young and old to enjoy, with flowers, vegetables and fruit for the community to enjoy at The Attic Lounge (community Centre). Working in the garden (and orchard), which is a real challenge for the group, has increased the biodiversity of the area and given everyone involved a great sense of accomplishment, and a greater sense of wellbeing.
