Viewpark Gardens Allotments & Community Gardens

A piece of land was acquired under the vacant and derelict land act. £200,000 from central government, backed up by another £50,000 from North Lanarkshire Council started the project in 2017, opening on the May bank holiday.  These grants developed the initial part of the site, and the group has subsequently achieved another £120,000 in funding to develop a wildlife and meadow area. There are 24 plots of different sizes, with 11 raised beds for different levels of ability.
