TACT Healthy Park
TACT Healthy Park is a community garden run by a group of volunteers who are mainly in retirement. Working hard, five days a week, they provide quality veg and flowers to the community. Along with the quality goods, they dish out quality banter to everyone who visits! It's worth a visit just for that!
The Tenants Association Coatshill Thornhill (TACT) group, based in Blantyre, was established in 1978. The group had a desire to further engage with the community and develop a disused piece of land. Many years in the planning, in 2009, the land was turned into TACT Healthy Park and this brings considerable benefit to the community and the environment. The ethos of the Park is to promote healthy eating and healthy lifestyle and is accessible to the wider community. All the produce (onions, carrots, leeks, potatoes, tomatoes, cucumbers, onions, raspberries and strawberries to name a few!), are available to the community for voluntary donations.
