Strathblane Community Volunteers

The volunteers came together to tackle the increasing litter problem in their community council area. Two main tourist roads (A81 and A809) bisect this area, and volumes of traffic are huge in the summer. Stirling Council no longer provides regular maintenance to the area (keeping drains and verges clear, for example) so the group tries to do what it can. The Wee Spuds group (Primary aged kids aligned to Blane Valley Allotments) has planted bulbs in tubs on the main A81 in the village. The volunteers all agree that their mental health is better when they work together!
