Kirkcaldy Old Kirk Trust
Certificate of Distinction
Kirkcaldy Old Kirk is surrounded by an historic graveyard, with flowerbeds and borders that are maintained by Kirkcaldy Old Kirk Trust to welcome visitors and local passers-by on this ancient right of way. The Trust, a group of local people from the community, purchased the former town church, the oldest building in Kirkcaldy in continuous use, in 2011 and, with community support, maintains it as a non-denominational church, community venue and heritage centre. It is well-used by community groups for support, business meetings, concerts, events, drama, and weddings. The Trust holds historic exhibitions and guided tours of the 15th century bell-tower.
In 2019, Kirkcaldy Old Kirk Trust was awarded a Certificate of Distinction to further recognise the groups' achievements.
