Hazlehead - Community Group

Hazlehead School has 'five values' which reflect the school ethos and its aim is to embed these further in the life of the school by creating a 'Values Garden'. The pupils have worked on a design using the 'values' characters, and so far have designed and painted a 'Friendship Bench' to share them.
The children are planning and promoting a whole school litter pick within the local Hazlehead Park.
The school has worked in partnership with Friends of Hazlehead and staff at Aberdeen City Council to improve its local grounds. The group carried out bulb planting in Hazlehead Park and plans to work with local councillors to promote responsible dog ownership in the local community.
In 2018, Hazelhead Primary was awarded a Certificate of Distinction to further recognise the groups' achievements.
