Hayfield Growing

Hayfield Growing is a community centre garden, which has developed into a community garden for all ages to grow in, learn about and enjoy. There is a fenced-in area where small children love to play safely on the grass or in the maze, peering into the fairy houses, or eating the delicious strawberries from the raised beds. Watering is a particularly favourite activity! The sunny, south-facing patio with easy access from the main hall through double patio doors extends the centre activities for groups into the garden, which is maintained by a Community Gardener, herself a former volunteer here.

In 2019, Hayfield Community Centre Growing was awarded a Certificate of Distinction to further recognise the groups' achievements.
