This garden is in memory of Gwen Robertson who was an inspiring member of the community; the group aims to create a beautiful space that will represent her beautiful outlook on life.
The group’s mission is to provide a community garden for the local people of Garthdee; in doing this the garden can provide healthy food and a safe green space for the community to utilize. The group contributed to the 2020 Challenge for Scotland's Biodiversity Initiative.
Aims:
- Provide a garden for the community to come together
- To raise the biodiversity in Garthdee which will contribute to healthier eco-system
- To encourage the local community to spend time outdoors
- To educate and inspire the young people of Garthdee about sustainable living
- To promote community spirit and local produce.
