Friends of Wardie Playing Fields

The group aims to preserve Wardie Playing Fields (WPF) as an open green space for present and future generations to enjoy and to protect and enhance WPF's environment, including its biodiversity.

The group aims to achieve this by helping to organise and carry out practical improvement of WPF, where it can, working with the City of Edinburgh Council, Edinburgh Leisure, Broughton Rugby Club, Wardie Primary School and other appropriate parties. The Friends' publicise its’ activities and
take such other reasonable action as the Management Committee the City of Edinburgh Council, Edinburgh Leisure, Trinity Community Council and other appropriate bodies of its views about any planning applications or other proposals likely to affect WPF.
