Friends of the Barnhill Rock Garden

Certificate of Distinction
The F.B.R.G welcomes all new members to its gardening team, as well as to talks and summer outings. Covid restrictions, however, have seriously curtailed the group’s work. This includes the limited time members were allowed to work in the garden, as well as usual activities for members and children. The group continues to aid conservation, and inform, and has recently installed a new sign for the pond. Each year the Friends would undertake to improve a different part of the garden. This year the work has focused on weeding the overgrown, most recently planted beds as a result of the absence of the Council gardener and the members. The Friends have sown seeds and propagated plants at home for later use in the garden or to supplement their funds.
In 2019, Friends of the Barnhill Rock Garden was awarded a Certificate of Distinction to further recognise the groups' achievements.
