Abernethy in Bloom

Certificate of Recognition
Abernethy In Bloom was formed in 2015, with a group of volunteers, to take over the maintenance of the village garden better known as Nurse Peattie’s Garden. Nurse Peattie’s was originally built by the then Abernethy Town Council in dedication to the District Nurse of that name, who was well remembered for her dedication to the community of Abernethy. Abernethy In Bloom undertook to not only revive Nurse Peattie’s but to develop a number of seasonal floral displays around the village using containers made from recycled wood.
Abernethy In Bloom are proud to have had their work acknowledged by Keep Scotland Beautiful through their Beautiful Scotland programme, the Royal Horticultural Society and Take a Pride in Perthshire.
In 2021, Abernethy in Bloom won the RHS Parks and Green Spaces Discretionary Award.
