Dunkeld and Birnam in Bloom

Silver Gilt

A small group of dedicated volunteers and occasional helpers who work to improve areas within both Birnam and Dunkeld. This includes floral displays in various containers and beds, dotted about both villages. A fern strewn woodland walk in Birnam leads into a park with wildflowers, shrubs and donated assortment of plants. Dunkeld has an interesting hidden garden behind the main street called St Ninian's Garden, with unusual plants, picnic tables, benches and pergola. It is split into sections where the group members can work in a group of six or seven, or pop in as it suits to weed, tie up, plant etc. with a friend, or quietly on their own! In this, the group’s 26th year, the current project is completion of a circular walk and more ideas still to develop!
