Jedburgh Community Council

Having been elected in 2017, the Royal Burgh of Jedburgh Community Council is elected and run by local residents to act on behalf of Jedburgh. As the most local tier of elected representation, Jedburgh Community Council plays an important role in local democracy in Jedburgh.
Jedburgh Community Council facilitates a wide range of activities which promote the well-being of Jedburgh. The group attempts to bring local people together to help make things happen and helps protect and promote the identity of Jedburgh. It aims to advise, petition, influence and advocate numerous causes and cases of concern on behalf of the residents of Jedburgh.
The community council has a specific local group that maintains various floral beds/displays during the year as well as generally keeping the town tidy and welcoming.
