Our Accredited Training is 7-8 hours in total. It includes 4-5 hours of live online sessions and 4 hours of self-study.

Our Introductory Training starts at 60 minutes.

  1. Is there the opportunity for the Climate Emergency training to be tailored to our business or organisation?

Yes, we have Customised Climate Emergency Training options where we’ll work with you to create an accredited course fully tailored to your needs.

There are also options to insert material of your choice in set places for some of our other Accredited Climate Emergency Training such as our Sector-Based Training.

  1. Can we deliver the training in-house ourselves?

We welcome co-design and co-delivery of many aspects of our Climate Emergency Training to make it as relevant as possible to your context.

The process so you can confidently deliver training in-house is:

  • We develop a customised course with you, for your organisation.
  • We then deliver the course to the cohort of colleagues who will be delivering the course in your organisation.
  • When those colleagues have achieved their certificate of Carbon Literacy, we can then support you with Train-the-Trainer Workshops, a licence agreement and other support days, so you feel confident in delivering the training.

  1. Are there free options available for the training?

Yes, we sometimes offer Fully-Funded Training. This is available for specific audiences through our work with a variety of partners.

Businesses and organisations can commission us to develop this training for their audience. Please see Q5 for more on the type of training available for commission.

  1. Can we book multiple types of training, or do we have to choose one?

We can work with you to create a package of training that is relevant to your needs and context, delivered over an appropriate time period.

Your training package could include a mixture of Accredited and Introductory training.

For example, if you initially want Accredited Training to be for a certain Team or section of staff, you might also want to offer an Introductory Webinar, or access to our eLearning module, to all staff.

  1. How can we book or commission training? And how long does it take?

Training available to purchase or book now.

Accredited Climate Emergency Training:

Introductory Climate Emergency Training:

Our other training is available to commission.

Our training calendar fills up quickly, so we advise getting in touch as soon as possible to secure you preferred times, but we do sometimes have space available at short notice.

Accredited and Introductory Training which doesn’t require any adaptations, has minimal development time, so can be delivered as soon as we have availability in our training calendar.

If you’d like to work with us to adapt training by inserting your own materials, we’ll need to allocate a period of development time. This time period will vary depending on the amount of adaption required.

Customised Training requires a longer development period. In addition to the time we allocate to work on course development with you, we need to build in time to ensure the course meets the standards required to receive accreditation from the Carbon Literacy Project,

Please get in touch with our Environment and Place Services Manager, Katie Murray to discuss your requirements and timescales. e: katie.murray@keepscotlandbeautiful.org

We’ll be happy to meet via Teams or Zoom to help you build the perfect Climate Emergency Training package.
