Do you want to understand how your actions can make a positive difference to the natural world and protect the plants and animals that make Scotland an amazing place to live?

Our new accredited Climate Emergency and Biodiversity training highlights the link between climate change and the biodiversity crisis, exploring how organisations and individuals can lower greenhouse gas emissions to protect nature through low carbon behaviours and nature-based solutions.

Who is this training for?

This training is for anyone interested in the science behind climate change and biodiversity loss and the actions we can take to ensure a vibrant Scotland for future generations and wildlife. Individuals and groups are welcome.

What will you learn?

By participating in this training you'll:

  • understand the science of climate change,
  • understand how you and your organisation will be impacted by climate change,
  • identify the environmental services supplied by biodiversity and,
  • recognise practical actions that you, your organisation and community can take to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and ensure we protect our natural capital.

What certification will you get?

The course is accredited to meet the Carbon Literacy Standard by the Carbon Literacy Project, and participants that successfully complete the course receive a certificate confirming that they are Carbon Literate.

How is the training delivered?

This online training is split into 4 modules over 2 weeks. Each week has 2 modules delivered in 2.5 hour live online sessions, supported by self-study activities on our online platform.

There are currently no options to adapt any of the training materials.
