We can help your organisation learn how the Climate Emergency relates to Scotland's housing sector and how to respond effectively.
Our accredited Climate Emergency Training for Scotland's housing providers will help upskill organisations and people involved with the sector, so they have the knowledge required to successfully respond to the Climate Emergency and help move towards net zero.
There are approximately 600,000 units of social housing in Scotland, meaning a substantial opportunity for housing providers to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and costs. And with current energy and fuel prices causing hardship, investing in greener alternatives and behaviours to reduce costs and secure supplies have never been more relevant - for both housing providers and their tenants. In addition, new legislation and requirements, such as the second Energy Efficiency Standard for Social Housing, mean now has never been a better time to start your journey to net zero.
Who is this training for?
Your organisation might be a housing provider in Scotland, supporting actions related to housing, or simply interested in the area.
This training can be delivered for anyone within your organisation, and at any level and role. We've worked with everyone from volunteers to board members.

What certification will you get?
- The course is accredited to meet the Carbon Literacy Standard by the Carbon Literacy Project, and participants that successfully complete the course receive a certificate confirming that they are Carbon Literate.
- Organisations can move towards Carbon Literate Organisation status.
Training delivery and adaption options
- 8 hours of learning, covering 4 modules, which is delivered online through a combination of interactive live sessions and self-study activities.
- To ensure that the learning is relevant to your context there are opportunities to work with us to insert your own materials
