Climate strikes

The world is in climate chaos and it is estimated that there are less than 12 years left to limit the worst impacts of climate change.

The Scottish Government has declared a Climate Emergency. We acknowledge this emergency and are fully committed to supporting the call for urgent action. We admire the passion shown by young people about climate change and support peaceful, local #ClimateStrike action, who are following the global call from Greta Thunberg to strike from school. These young people have come together to deliver one of the most naturally evolving movements of this era – a #FridaysforFuture #ClimateStrike

The first global #ClimateStrike took place on Friday 20 September 2019, and a second strike on Friday 27 September.

They formed the biggest climate mobilisation in history. Their legacy us up to you.
