Youth
Climate Emergency Training for young people and youth workers.
One of the reasons Scotland declared a Climate Emergency in 2019 was the Youth Climate Strikes taking place across the country.
We recognise the role that young people and youth workers have to play in tackling the Climate Emergency and have been delighted to work with a variety of partners to develop and deliver youth focused Climate Emergency Training.
We're currently developing a new batch on youth training. In the meantime, we're delighted to offer FREE training opportunities below.
Climate Emergency Training for Youth Climate Advocates
We are currently offering free Climate Emergency Training to 11-24 year olds in the Highlands, with a focus on sustainable consumption, as part of the Highland Community Waste Partnership.
This Climate Emergency Training course consists of three, two-hour sessions, taken over three weeks. Each session is delivered online by a qualified facilitator, followed by a number of self-study tasks to be completed before the next session.
Following this training our Advocates will be invited to get involved in future Highland Community Waste Partnership activities and events.
