Local Energy Scotland manage CARES - the Scottish Government's Community and Renewable Energy Scheme. They give communities, businesses and other organisations advice and funding in all aspects of local, renewable energy.
Keep Scotland Beautiful
Keep Scotland Beautiful is the charity that campaigns, acts and educates on a range of local, national and global environmental issues to change behaviour and improve the quality of people’s lives and the places they care for. We are committed to making Scotland clean, green and sustainable.
SHRUB Co-operative: Swapping Normal
SHRUB run the Swapping Normal CCF project, which offers free support to help Edinburgh residents to rethink their relationship with waste. Activities include a Swapshop in their Zero Waste Hub, plus repair and information events and reuse collections. The project provides people with an accessible way to change their consumption habits to be more climate conscious.
Sustrans work closely with communities, the Scottish Government, local authorities and other partners to ensure that the people of Scotland have access to a network of safe walking and cycling routes.
The Salisbury Centre: Living Lighter Project
The Living Lighter CCF project aims to tackle carbon emissions associated with food and waste by providing food growing, cooking, upcycling and sewing sessions. The project is also facilitating discussion about climate change by running Climate and Carbon Conversations and has hosted its first Interfaith Environmental Summit.
Zero Waste Scotland
Zero Waste Scotland exists to create a society where resources are valued and nothing is wasted. Their goal is to help Scotland realise the economic, environmental and social benefits of making best use of the world’s limited natural resources. They are funded to support delivery of the Scottish Government’s circular economy strategy and the EU Action Plan for the Circular Economy.
