Evening film and discussion
Join us as we explore how community film nights can get people thinking about climate change, then watch and discuss a challenging film.
On the evening of the Climate Challenge Fund (CCF) Gathering, we ran a separately ticketed online film evening and discussion.
We were thrilled to have Arran-Eco Savvy attend the event to explain how they use films get people learning, thinking and acting on climate change through their Savvy Film Club.
The evening will also provided the opportunity to experience a film night, as we watched a challenging film - 'Cooked: Survival by Zip Code'. The film tells the story of the tragic 1995 Chicago heatwave, the most traumatic in U.S. history, in which 739 citizens died over the course of just a single week, most of them poor, elderly, and African American.
We thank all attendees for joining the engaging discussion session after the film. Our special thanks go to Judith Helfand, producer of the film who joined the discussion.
