Darkwood Crew

Darkwood Crew are a group of volunteers who have a single defining aim of helping Ferguslie flourish. Their multi-faceted and wide-reaching #ReduceReuseRecycleFerguslie initiative comprises a daily surplus food run, a weekly community market, an electrical appliance recycling project, a community growing area, and a comprehensive environmental maintenance program of the village green.

In 2022, the group were recognised with a Keep Scotland Beautiful 'Beautiful Scotland & It's Your Neighbourhood' discretionary award - joint winner of the Growing Communities Award.
