Climate and Nature Friendly Communities Network
We would love to support, connect and celebrate your community growing project through our FREE Climate and Nature Friendly Communities Network.
Join more than 250 groups across Scotland and be supported, recognised and celebrated through our Beautiful Scotland and It’s Your Neighbourhood initiatives.
Both are part of the UK wide Royal Horticultural Society's (RHS) Britain in Bloom campaign and are FREE to take part in.
You'll get access to annual support, networking, resources and national recognition from us and from the RHS, under the three pillars of community participation, environmental responsibility and gardening/horticultural achievement.

Important information for schools/nurseries with growing projects - update for 2025 onwards:
- If you are a school/nursery and have a growing project taking place in your community (not in the school/nursery grounds), and the lead organiser is either a community group or a member of the community (not the school/nursery), you are welcome to register to take part in It’s Your Neighbourhood.
- If you are a school/nursery and have a growing project taking place within school/nursery grounds, unfortunately you can’t take part in It’s Your Neighbourhood (even if the lead organiser is a member of the community e.g. a parent/carer). Two alternative options you could consider are:
- If you haven’t already done so, registering for Eco-Schools Scotland which is managed by Keep Scotland Beautiful and is free to join. As part of this international network of schools working to make a positive difference to the environment and their communities, you could work towards achieving the Eco-Schools green flag to fly at your school. You can watch an introductory video here.
- the RHS Campaign for School Gardening where you can access a wealth of free support, resources and recognition.
