Submitting your story is easy. Email your article, photo or video to youngreporters@keepscotlandbeautiful.org including your entry form.

Before your submit your entry, please make sure:
Written Articles
- Your article is written in English or has been translated
- Your article is about a real and current local environmental issue
- Your article suggests a constructive solution to an environmental issue
- Your article is the right length (max. 1000 words)
- Your article title is the right length (max. 140 characters)
- Your article includes 1-3 images with captions (max. 20 words)
- Sources used are listed in footnotes or a bibliography (MLA format)
3-5 Photos - Reportage
- Your photo description and captions are in English
- Your title is the right length (max. 140 characters)
- Your photos have a short introduction that explains the link with sustainability or a solution to an environmental issue (max. 100 words)
- Each photo has a short caption (max. 20 words)
- Your photos are a fair and truthful representation of reality and have not been altered
- Your photos include a relevant and feasible solution to an environmental issue
- Your photos are in the right format and resolution (.jpg or .png format with a resolution > 150-300 dpi)
- Sources used in the description or caption are cited in footnotes (MLA format)
Single Photo - Campaign
- Your photo title is the right length (max. 140 characters)
- Your (optional) photo description is in English
- Your (optional) photo description is the right length (max. 100 words)
- Your photo is a fair and truthful representation of reality and has not been altered.
- Your photo is in the right format and resolution (.jpg or .png format with a resolution > 150-300 dpi)
- Sources used in the description or caption are cited in footnotes (MLA format)
Single Photo - Reportage
- Your photo title is the right length (max. 140 characters)
- Your photo description and caption are in English
- Your photo description is the right length (max. 100 words + caption of max. 20 words OR description only max.120 words)
- Your photo is a fair and truthful representation of reality and has not been altered.
- Your description or caption includes a relevant and feasible solution to an environmental issue
- Your photo is in the right format and resolution (.jpg or .png format with a resolution > 150-300 dpi)
- Sources used in the description or caption are cited in footnotes (MLA format)
Video - Campaign or Reportage
- Your video is in English or has English subtitles
- Your video is the right length (max. 3 minutes not including credits)
- Your video is in a format compatible with YouTube (ideally MP4)
- Your video title is the right length (max. 140 characters)
- Your video is about a real and current local issue
- Your video suggests a constructive solution to an environmental issue
- Your video is at least 70% your own footage, photos and audio
- Your sources are cited in the credits or a bibliography (MLA format)
