Eco-Schools Webinars 

Interactive sessions to support Eco-Coordinators to deliver Eco-Schools in their context.  Register your free place below to receive the link to join the session. (It's important that you register ahead so you receive the link on time).

All sessions are offered remotely on Teams, and are a maximum of 90 minutes long. Twilight sessions start at 16:00.

Pupil Led Sessions

Eco-Committee Meet & Greet 
20th June 13:30pm
A space for your class or Eco-Committee to listen to pupils share their experience and work as an Eco-School, and answer your pupils' questions. For our first session we welcome St Andrew’s Fox Covert RC Primary School's Eco-Committee to share how they helped their school become one of the first plastic-free and paper-free schools in Scotland.

Please note this session is intended for a class or Eco-Committee to attend while accompanied by an educator.

Eco-Schools Basics: Get started with the Eco-Schools programme and how it can be run in your context.

Eco-Schools Basics: Processes and Tasks
Dates TBC for 2022/2023 school year
A general introduction to the Eco-Schools Scotland programme, and a look at the online platform where you will need to upload your evidence when applying for a Green Flag Award. Twilight session.

Eco-Schools Basics: Action Plans and Measuring

Dates TBC for 2022/2023 school year
How to make the most out of your Eco-Schools Action Plan, the importance of the scientific method in your Eco-Schools work, how to measure and monitor actions and how to facilitate the process of reflection that will help your pupils to evaluate their results. Twilight session.

Eco-Schools Basics: Litter & Waste Core Topic
Dates TBC for 2022/2023 school year
Our core Eco-Schools Topic newly combined with Waste Minimisation. Covers litter, flytipping, graffiti and dog fouling. Must be one of the three Topics covered in order to achieve Green Flag Award status. Twilight session.

Take Eco-Schools Further: How to use our other projects and campaigns to take your Eco-Schools work further.

Take Eco-Schools Further: Young Reporters for the Environment
Dates TBC for 2022/2023 school year
Give committed pupils the opportunity to have their voice heard on environmental issues that matter to them. Young Reporters is a natural extension to Eco-Schools for individual pupils to write a report, take a photograph or make a video reporting on the environment. Twilight session.


Take Eco-Schools Further: One Planet Picnic
Dates TBC for 2022/2023 school year
One Planet Picnic can be part of your transition work, or an end of term celebration. It is a great way to use and celebrate your harvests at the start of the new academic year. Twilight session.
