New to Eco-Schools?
Welcome to Eco-Schools Scotland! Here is a quick overview of everything you need to know to achieve a Green Flag Award...
Video: Applying for Your Green Flag Award
In this video, we'll walk you through the steps required to submit your Green Flag application on our Eco-Schools Portal.
The first thing to do is set up your Eco-Committee which will take responsibility for the Eco-Schools work. At this point you should also log in to your Eco-Schools Scotland Account and click "Start New Application".
Next, you should carry out an Environmental Review for each of the Topics covered in Eco-Schools Scotland. You can use our template or you can design your own.
Once you have completed your Environmental Review, you should plan action on Climate Action and two other Topics of your choice.
Choose one Sustainable Development Goal that will be the focus of your work.
Next, write, upload, and submit your Draft Action Plan to your online application. We will review your work so far at this point to ensure you're on the right track. You can use our Action Plan template or you can design your own, provided that it covers all the necessary information.
Measure and evaluate the progress of your chosen actions and share the measuring results with us in your online application.
Involve your Community with your work and tell us how you did this.
Link some of your actions to the Curriculum and share one example of what you did with us.
Don’t forget to design an Eco-Code and share this with us.
At this stage, submit your final application for assessment!
