Spring Clean Scotland
Spring Clean Scotland
Spring Clean Scotland is our annual campaign which brings together people from across Scotland to tackle litter. During this month-long campaign, thousands of volunteers spend time outdoors cleaning up the environment through sociable, fun, litter picking sessions.
In 2025, it will run between 21 March - 21 April, and we are hoping to see 50,000 volunteers join forces to head outside and carry out litter picks. You can do this as part of a group (head to our Clean Up Scotland map to find events and groups you can join), at work, with your family and friends, or own your own. Make the most of the warming weather to go out and clean up your local environment. Remember to register your event so it appears on our map and so we can count how many bags have been collected.
In 2024 #SpringCleanScotland took place between 15 March and 28 April and saw over 45,000 volunteers take part across all 32 local authorities. Read our report to see what impact the 2024 Spring Clean had.

From 17 March-21 April, schools, nurseries, and other youth groups and organisations accross Scotland will be able to compete in our Litter League. The Litter League is an opportunity for young people accross the country to take part in cleaning up Scotland and to compete against each other to find out who is a #SpringCleanScotland champion! Pictured here are last year's winners.
