Scotland is facing a litter emergency.

In 2013 we recorded our cleanest year. All our evidence and data now point to the fact there is a litter emergency in Scotland as, 10 years on, we have recorded our worst year. The time has come to tackle and respond to this in the same way we have approached the twin climate and nature emergencies – with bold and collective action across all parts of society.

In response to this we have partnered with LitterLotto, the behaviour change app, to encourage more people to bin their litter.

The time for action is now and we’re encouraging everyone to get involved and help us clean up Scotland.
