CRC Train the Trainer
CRC Train the Trainer
Our Climate Ready Classrooms: Train the Trainer accredited sessions for educators will train you to deliver carbon literacy training for High School pupils. Suitable for teachers, head teachers, CLD practitioners, and youth and children’s workers.
The Train the Trainer course is designed to inform you on climate change, in order to teach it, and what we can do as a society, as individuals, and as groups to take climate action.
This course is normally delivered in four units with with materials distributed in advance of 30-minute Q&A sessions via Teams. All sessions are scheduled as twilights at 4pm. The sessions cover:
1. Climate Conversations
2. Exploring the Climate Change Science
3. Rebalancing and Taking Climate Action
4. Impacts and Taking Climate Action
On one afternoon every week, there will be a 30-minute, live Q&A session, giving participants the opportunity to put forward questions and observations about the course. These live Q&A sessions are delivered using Microsoft Teams.
At the end, as with the face-to-face course, you will submit an evidence form which will be sent to The Carbon Literacy Project, the body which accredits this course.
If certified, you will then receive a certificate which recognises you as 'carbon literate', and you can then reteach the course.
New dates will be announced at the beginning of the new financial year. In the meantime, please register to be first to be informed of these new dates.
