Rebecca has ten years’ experience of supporting community and public-sector organisations across Scotland to take action on climate change and move to low carbon living.
Following the completion of her degree in Environmental Science, Rebecca joined the Climate Challenge Fund team at Keep Scotland Beautiful on day one of the Fund and is passionate about supporting groups to take direct action on climate change and is inspired by the work done by communities in Scotland.
Experience has ranged from supporting community organisations to deliver carbon reduction projects which has ranged from energy efficiency improvements, lower carbon travel options and local food growing schemes. Latterly through working with Sustainable Scotland Network, Rebecca assisted public bodies as they prepared to report under the public bodies duties reporting requirement from the trial year in 2015 onwards as the requirement moved to becoming mandatory. Rebecca has extensive project planning and development experience with a special interest in advising and assisting organisations to set up robust monitoring systems to allow effective reporting and is experienced in IS0 14064 Greenhouse Gas verification and in the quantification, monitoring and reporting of GHG emissions. Rebecca is keen that the reporting process is used to drive continuous improvement within organisations.
