Ruairidh MacLeod
Ruairidh joined Keep Scotland Beautiful as an Environment and Place Officer in October.
He will largely be focused on supporting the LEAMS environmental quality surveys in Scotland’s local authority, LEAMS reports, and supporting GIS processes.
Before joining KSB Ruairidh worked at RZSS, Edinburgh Zoo within the animal department. In that role he was responsible for managing the daily operations and procurement and took the lead in undertaking sustainable transformation in relation to processes and procurement.
Ruairidh has a BA in Business Studies from Glasgow Caledonian and an MSc in Environmental Entrepreneurship from the University for Strathclyde. His MSc dissertation involved investigating the idea of ‘sustainable happiness’ in relation to built sustainable communities and what behaviours & outcomes produced an improvement in quality of life. He also received training from the Carbon Trust and undertook Carbon Audits as part of his masters.
