Marygrace joined Keep Scotland Beautiful in 2018 as an Education Support Officer following her move to Scotland from the United States. She currently provides support to schools and nurseries participating in our Eco-Schools Scotland programme which includes conducting Green Flag Award Assessments.
Before joining us, she worked as a Research Technician at the University of North Carolina’s Institute of Marine Sciences where she helped develop a citizen science water-level monitoring initiative called the North Carolina King Tides Project. She has also worked for the North Carolina state government (Albemarle-Pamlico National Estuary Partnership) as well as a non-profit organization (North Carolina Coastal Federation). In these roles she managed and facilitated environmental monitoring, coastal habitat restoration, policy development and environmental education.
Marygrace holds a BSc in Natural Resources with a concentration in Marine and Coastal Resources from North Carolina State University.
