Magdalena joined Keep Scotland Beautiful in 2018 as a Development Officer for the Climate Challenge Fund. She provides guidance, support and assistance to CCF funded community-led organisations during the different stages of their projects, as well as to new CCF applicants.
Prior to joining us, Magdalena was a Campus Cycling Officer at the University of the West of Scotland where she was responsible for the design, planning and implementation of cycling projects and activities aimed to promote cycling as the main mode of transport for students and staff. She worked with a variety of stakeholders including sponsors, suppliers and local governments.
Magdalena also gained experience in partnership working and community engagement while volunteering as Environmental Coordinator in an NGO in Huanchaco, Peru. She coordinated projects related to environmental awareness, education and capacity building, which aimed to increase the sustainability of the local community. These included environmental campaigns, educational workshops and hydroponic gardening.
Magdalena has an MSc in Environmental Management and Sustainability Science from Aalborg University, Denmark and a BSc in Geography from Sofia University, Bulgaria.
