June joined Keep Scotland Beautiful in April 2014 to lead our public sector work on low carbon behaviours and the ISM (Individual, Social and Material) tool.
As part of our portfolio of work for the Sustainable Scotland Network, June’s work focuses on supporting public sector organisations on low carbon behaviour change initiatives and use of the ISM framework and how it can help support integrated approaches to organisational change and partnership working.
Prior to joining us June managed a number of sustainable development programmes at Sniffer, including European networks and coordination actions on sustainable urban development. She worked for ten years at SEPA in policy and strategy development supporting transposition of the Water Framework Directive into Scottish regulations and statutory guidance before coordinating SEPA’s research programme and developing its first climate change strategy. Earlier roles included licensing, regulation and operational duties in the Environment Agency.
June has an MSc in Oceanography (Southampton) and in Environmental Resources (Salford) plus a BSc in Biology (Hons) from Strathclyde University. She is a former Chartered Member of the Institute for Water and Environmental Management.
