Claire joined Keep Scotland Beautiful in 2013 as a Development Officer for the Climate Challenge Fund (CCF) and was responsible for supporting a breadth of CCF projects across Scotland. Claire is now responsible for the CCF’s Capacity Building Programme which provides training, networking opportunities and resources to community organisations taking action on climate change.
Prior to joining us Claire was a teacher of Geography. The experience gained over the course of her teaching career has proved invaluable in her role as Capacity Building Officer for the CCF.
Claire holds a BSc (Hons) in Environmental Geography from the University of Stirling and a Professional Graduate Diploma in Education (PGDE) from Strathclyde University. In addition to this Claire also successfully completed the ISO 14064 Lead GHG Verifier Course and ISO 14064 Quantification, Monitoring and Reporting of Greenhouse Gas Emissions. She is also certified by the Carbon Literacy Project as a Carbon Literacy Facilitator and delivers Carbon Literacy training to CCF funded projects and community-led organisations who have an interest in tackling climate change. The furthest North she has delivered the Carbon Literacy training is on the Island of Benbecula.
