Cara joined Keep Scotland Beautiful in the summer of 2017, having recently relocated from New Zealand. Cara is part of the Sustainable Scotland Network (SSN) team, with a particular focus on Public Sector Climate Change Reporting. She supports public bodies with climate change reporting and verification and is working on various initiatives to improve the quality of climate change reporting across the public sector.
Cara has a background in climate change policy, greenhouse gas audit and sustainability assurance. Prior to joining us, she held a number of leadership and analysis roles with the New Zealand Environmental Protection Authority, specialising in Emissions Trading Scheme reporting and compliance. Prior to that she worked as a Sustainability and Climate Change consultant in the private sector.
Cara has an MSc in Carbon Management from the University of Edinburgh.
