Aoife joined Keep Scotland Beautiful in 2018. She works within the Community Projects team as a Project Officer, working closely with stakeholders to develop a behaviour change campaign to tackle local issues including litter, avian nuisance and dog waste at Ayr, Portobello and Musselburgh beaches.
Prior this, Aoife worked with 2050 Climate Group as their Information and Engagement Assistant, supporting the organisation’s core work - to empower young people in Scotland to take action on climate change.
Aoife has a background in marine science and has spent time in New Zealand working in coastal locations researching sealion and fur seal populations. She is particularly interested in community based environmental action and ensuring everyone has access to our beautiful outdoor spaces.
Aoife holds a BSc (hons.) in Ecological and Environmental Sciences from the University of Edinburgh.
