Neil Urquhart

Neil is a company director with involvement in the manufacturing and luxury brand sectors.  He will join us as a Charity Trustee in July 2021. 

With over 20 years’ experience in the Scotch Whisky sector Neil is currently Chairman of Gordon & MacPhail and a Non Executive Director with Johnstons of Elgin.  His career has included roles and responsibility in Export, Retail, Logistics, Property, Compliance, HR and Project Management.  As part of these roles, he’s lead environmental and sustainability improvement projects including recycling, renewables, energy efficiency, carbon reduction and cross sector collaboration.  He hopes to be able to use this experience to support Keep Scotland Beautiful to develop and grow the reach and positive impact it has.

Neil has a BA in Business Studies from the University of Stirling and holds a Diploma in Company Direction with the Institute of Directors.  Other interests include being a Panel member with Children’s Hearing’s Scotland and trustee of a small charity.  Mountain Biking, Skiing and generally being outdoors enjoying Scotland natural environment are all close to Neil’s heart.
