Dumb Dumpers 2

Adverts promoting the 24/7 stopline phone number for reporting flytipping were placed on petrol pump dispensers, signs were erected at hotspot sites, car air fresheners were distributed along with vehicle tax disc holders to remind people in vehicles to report flytipping. Fridge magnets were also distributed to remind people in their homes of the reporting stopline number.

A second radio and television campaign was produced with voice overs from Scottish sitcom, Still Game, actors Ford Kiernan and Greg Hemphill, who play the lead characters, Jack Jarvis and Victor McDade.

Almost 1,700 calls were made to the Stopline during the campaign period.

Please note if you wish to report a flytipping incident, you should contact the local authority in the area that the flytipping has occurred.
