Dog Fouling

Two different poster designs were produced and distributed to local authorities and community groups and vets surgeries. Smaller A5 weatherproof stickers were made available for use on bins across the country too.

Keep Scotland Beautiful, in partnership with the Dogs Trust, ran a week of activity, dubbed ‘Poop Scoop Week’, touring parks and open spaces to promote good dog ownership. In tandem with partner organisations free dog chipping was offered and free dog poo bags were distributed to dog walkers. Three full size dog costumes entertained children visiting our marquee in the parks.

A follow up audit highlighted a decrease in the percentage of streets where dog fouling was recorded in the following years.
