Operations Manager

Salary: £35,000 to £44,999* per annum * this indicates the salary range for the role and appointments will be made to the lower end of the band

Reporting to the Operations Director, the Operations Manager will have an organisation-wide remit as a member of Keep Scotland Beautiful’s (KSB) Management Team and a thematic responsibility for supporting the Operations Director with the development, implementation and management of KSB’s operational activities. Specifically, this will include the Climate Challenge Fund programme and our community capacity building campaigns and activities. This is a full time, permanent position.

Keep Scotland Beautiful is the charity that campaigns, acts and educates on a range of local, national and global environmental issues to change behaviour and improve the quality of people’s lives and the places they care for.

We have an exciting opportunity for an ambitious, confident and experienced Operations Manager to work with us and become part of our team. You will have an organisation-wide remit as a member of our Management Team and a specific responsibility to support the Operations Director with the development, implementation and management of our operational activities.  Specifically, this will include the Climate Challenge Fund programme and our community capacity building campaigns and activities.  You will be part of a great team helping us to pursue the ambition and purpose of our charity so that we achieve our vision and commitment to making Scotland clean, green and sustainable.

Our ideal candidate will have worked at a senior level in an operations role in the third sector, although candidates with private and public sector experience will also be considered.  Importantly, you will have experience of managing and leading people.  In addition, you will already have experience developing and implementing community-facing campaigns and activities and will have a high-level of financial management competence including large-scale grant programme management.  Experience of community capacity building and an understanding of environmental issues and current climate change policy is also important.
