Scotland's Biggest Clean Up: National Spring Clean 2012

Tidy Business Standards

Tidy Business Standards (TBS) is an annual award scheme with three award levels: Bronze, Silver and Gold.

The aim of the scheme is to raise the awareness of local businesses about the methods of containment, storage, collection and disposal of their waste and to drive up standards.

Scotland's Zero Waste Plan
The scheme also promotes the adoption of relevant initiatives for recycling and waste minimisation in support of Scotland's Zero Waste Plan. There is an additional focus on showing support to the local community.

The scheme gives public recognition to the efforts that a business makes to improve its waste management and the visual appearance of the local environment, whilst ensuring that businesses are aware of their legal responsibilities. Businesses across Scotland, that meet the required standards, are displaying a certificate and window sticker to promote their environmental credentials to customers.
