Teacher feedback from the 2017/18 programme
We have had some very positive feedback about this professional learning programme from the teachers involved. Here are some of their comments.
About the tour of Torness Power Station:
"Really interesting and informative tour. Fascinating to see how the power station worked and staff were very knowledgeable."
"Will certainly take my P6/7 class next year. Excellent, knowledgeable guides."
"This was an incredible experience and I learned so much about the use of nuclear energy through the tour."
About the Pod resources:
"The resources have been really helpful and other staff members in my school can see how they would use it in their own classroom setting."
"I am only beginning to realise what a fantastic resource the Pod is!"
"I have enjoyed sharing the Pod resources with others in the school and now other teachers have been using it too."
About the course generally:
"Having been on the residential I have begun to clarify my personal beliefs on teaching and Learning for Sustainability and have acquired a new found confidence that I can act as a leader in this area within my school. This is not something I had fully considered before the residential and has now become a priority for me."
"I appreciate having the chance to document my thoughts through the training and being able to discuss these with other participants. Often, other courses do not give this opportunity."
"I think this is an excellent programme and I am looking forward to the journey ahead of me and excited about what I can do to share this with the children and my colleagues."
