DetailsThis is an exciting opportunity for a short term support role within the Going Carbon Neutral Stirling (GCNS) team. The post involves supporting the facilitator team by overseeing all GCNS schools work. It involves designing and delivering bespoke carbon reduction themed workshops for both primary and secondary schools, as well as supporting participating schools, and engaging new schools (and the wider school community) in the successful delivery of Carbon Cutter Plans (CCPs). This role will also require specific ‘legacy’ project development and delivery between the wider Stirling community, including businesses and schools, at the direction of the GCNS Assistant Manager. The successful applicant will also be required to engage at least 15 community groups into the GCNS programme and start those groups on Carbon Cutter Plans.

We are seeking to appoint a highly motivated individual who is confident, enthusiastic and has the initiative to work individually and as part of a team.

Applicants should have:
- Experience of designing and delivering carbon reduction themed workshops to schools
- Knowledge of the Curriculum for Excellence
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to present to a wide variety of groups and ages
- An ability to plan and implement innovative and engaging habit-changing projects
- A strong knowledge and understanding of current thinking in the climate change, carbon reduction and sustainability agendas as well as a working knowledge of current thinking in pro-environmental behaviour change.
