Broxburn and Uphall Growers Society (BUGS)

Broxburn and Uphall Growers Society (BUGS) are a group of keen volunteers promoting growing, especially fruit and vegetables, and education about growing in the towns of Broxburn and Uphall in West Lothian. They were absolutely delighted to be recognised by Keep Scotland Beautiful with discretionary awards in 2022, and are now working to complete their infrastructure with a water supply and continuing to build up their network of volunteers in partnership with the community, schools and other community groups for the benefit of all in the area.

In 2022, the group were recognised with a Keep Scotland Beautiful 'Beautiful Scotland & It's Your Neighbourhood' discretionary award - joint winner of Growing Communities Award.
