Barrowfield Community Garden

2022 saw the start-up of a community garden at Mountainblue Street in Barrowfield. The group started the project by making garden furniture from old pallets for their community garden, developing plots and raised beds that people can grow their own food. They have already fenced off an area of land which will be used by tenants in the community, as well as other charitable organisations who work with young people and people with disabilities. Barrowfield Community Burn has set up its own Facebook page which shows the progress of work over the past few months by the dedicated volunteers and by all who are supporting this great initiative.
