One Planet Picnic Prize Draw Winners Announced

Winners of this year's One Planet Picnic prize draw have been announced.

Congratulations to Haghill Park Primary School, Bell Baxter High School, and 1st Stenness Brownies, winners of this year's One Planet Picnic prize draw!

Young people from this year's three winning entries were among the 8,000 people who enjoyed a One Planet Picnic this year, trying sustainable food at work, at school, in communities and at home.

Each will receive a Wonderbag - a slow cooker that can cook food without being plugged in.  The WonderBag’s amazing insulation reduces the need for fuel for cooking, whether making a pot of soup in a Scottish or an African kitchen.  The Wonderbag will allow each winning group to continue to develop their sustainable food experiences, cooking and sharing tasty sustainable meals.

On the Wonderbag website, there are recipes and information about how to use it and how it is improving sustainability as well as helping women in other countries - so many opportunities for learning and teaching with food as the central thread.

Have a look at our One Planet Picnic image gallery for picnic stories from past participants and our list of tried and tested recipes for inspiration.
