SSN Member Update: Member Survey and Steering Group
SSN Member Survey
The 2017 SSN Member Survey forms part of the consultation undertaken by Keep Scotland Beautiful’s Sustainable Scotland Network team to inform the SSN work plan. The survey was completed by 62 members from across the public sector.
Key findings of the survey included:
- The methods of support that members placed the most importance on were: training and capacity building for Public Bodies Climate Change Duties Reporting; keeping up to date on relevant policy developments; and training and development on other specific topics.
- The weekly newsletter, member emails and SSN events were the most valued methods of communications for respondents
- Around 92% were interested in sharing knowledge and experience with peers based in other organisations
Steering Group: 25 January
The SSN Steering Group met on 25 January at the Keep Scotland Beautiful office in Stirling. The meeting started with a session on the draft Climate Change Plan, followed by updates and development opportunities from the SSN Chair, Keep Scotland Beautiful, the Scottish Government, COSLA, EAUC-Scotland and NHS National Services Scotland. The Steering Group also discussed the SSN Operational Plan 2016-17, with a focus on Climate Change Reporting, and SSN forward planning.
