Silver for Active Stirling at The PEAK

Leading leisure trust, Active Stirling, has received a Silver accreditation in our National Award for Environmental Excellence.

The award acknowledges Active Stirling’s commitment to improving environmental quality and recognises the organisation’s achievements in improving waste management at the PEAK, Stirling Sports Village and its continued commitment to sustainability - from implementing environmental management systems, forging partnerships with the local community and regular training to ensure high levels of customer service.

Andrew Bain, Chief Executive of Active Stirling, said: “At Active Stirling we are delighted to have achieved this prestigious Silver Award from Keep Scotland Beautiful for The PEAK at Stirling Sports Village. This is a true recognition of our dedication to ensuring the complex is as sustainable as possible.

“As only the second sport and physical activity provider in the country to be presented with this accolade it demonstrates our genuine commitment to maintaining a clean, green and sustainable Stirling.”

The Environmental Excellence Awards provides an exciting opportunity to assess and reward their efforts.

The National Award for Environmental Excellence is open to companies and organisations throughout Scotland and acts as a benchmark for corporate environmental performance. All entrants are assessed by the Keep Scotland Beautiful Local Environmental Quality Team and can be awarded Bronze, Silver or Gold level.
