#PictureThis winners announced

We congratulate the winners of Scottish Environment LINK #PictureThis environmental poster competition.

Scottish Environment LINK hosted the “Environmental Futures” event on 22 February at the Scottish Parliament. At the event, which was sponsored by Graeme Dey MSP, the winner of #PictureThis environmental poster competition was announced, and we were thanked for providing the prizes.

Roseanna Cunningham MSP, Cabinet Secretary for Environment, Climate Change and Land Reform, gave a short speech underlining the importance of the ecosystem services that sustain Scotland, underpin our economic systems and contribute so much to the culture of Scotland.

Angel Nervida and Claudia Baldacchino were announced as the winners by Joyce McMillan, President of Scottish Environment LINK.

Jim Riach, Community Projects Coordinator at Keep Scotland Beautiful said: “There were some fantastic poster designs on display in the Garden Lobby exhibition space. The Scottish Environment Week competition has given upcoming artists and graphic designers a chance to express what a sustainable future in Scotland means to them, and communicate how they would like to engage with the Scottish Parliament to shape an environmentally friendly future for our country.”

Scottish Environment LINK is the forum for Scotland’s voluntary environment organisations, with over 35 member bodies representing a range of environmental interests with the common goal of contributing to a more environmentally sustainable society.  We are a supporter organisation of Scottish Environment LINK.

The event was part of Scottish Environment Week 2017 supported by Historic Environment Scotland.
